What happens in a Kinesiology session?
Each Kinesiology session is called a ‘balance’ meaning the ultimate goal is to bring every aspect of you into balance. Physically, emotionally and spiritually.
When you attend your first Kinesiology session your practitioner will discuss with you the reason for your visit. They will take a history that covers many aspects of your health, and will then help you to define what you would like to achieve from the Kinesiology session.
Most of the work takes place on a massage table, fully clothed, whilst your Kinesiologist uses muscle testing in combination with acupressure points to determine where there are imbalances in the energetic system. Your Kinesiologist may also test muscles to accurately define where stress is located within the system.
After the Kinesiologist has located where the stresses and blockages are, they will then use various corrective techniques to help release the blockages and balance your mind, body and spirit.
A Kinesiology balance will help clear blockages by stimulating your innate healing capacity in order to help the body resume normal function.
How will I feel after my session?
As every person is unique it is impossible to say exactly how you will feel. However, feelings of relaxed and calmness afterwards are not uncommon. Comments such as "I feel lighter", "my head feels clearer", "I feel like I could go to sleep" are often heard.
Sometimes the person can feel immediate effects, however it can also take a few days for a session to settle.
How can I prepare for my session?
If the reason for your session is more focused on an emotional stress or achieving your goals in life, rather than a physical issue, it is a good idea to come prepared.
Occasionally clients come for their session and they say “I’m not really sure on what I want to focus on today". This is absolutely fine, however, I do encourage you to prepare, so you can get the most out of your session.
It is a really good idea to be clear about your intention for your session. I have found that clients who are really clear with what they want and are invested in their health and reaching their goals, they are often the people who will get the great results.
How long is a session?
New clients – please allow 90 minutes
Follow up appointments – please allow 75 minutes

How many session will I need?
This will depend on how long you have had the problem and how severe the problem is.
For more chronic health issues I would recommend an initial Kinesiology consultation followed by between 3 – 5 standard consultations 2 - 3 weeks apart. You should expect to see results within 3 – 5 sessions.
Will I require ongoing maintenance?
You will find that you will know when you need a Kinesiology session, as you will become more aware of how your body feels. I find for myself, regular monthly Kinesiology sessions are a great way to stay on top of any stresses that may be affecting me physically or emotionally. This way, life just becomes easier and more joyful.
